Santropol Sandwich. Delicioso.
I REALLY do want for you to send in those special recipes.( *scratches her head thinking.) What to do to get them? A friendly reminder :). Plus I will throw in a "my way" (and the Santropol's way). I now eat my sandwiches by skipping my usual honey mustered, I now like to spread some cream cheese. Thats right, and that takes care of the spread and the CHEESE! I got the idea from Santropol, a resaurant here in Montreal that specializes in (creative) sandwiches. I say you try it and think of me- and the restaurant where I got the inspiration from. I will also include my dads way of eating his Caldo de Pollo, some of you may already now this. He actually slices up a banana and dumps it right into his savory bowl of chicken soup/stew. I know, you've heard of adding it to cold cereal..but soup?! I like to do it too, just like my daddy, and that reminds me of him.
Please, share with me "your way", send it to me via email, write it in the comments below this post, call me with it, something.
Did I say PLEASE?
:)
Oh and when I later post about these recipes that you share with me; I wont say who they are from if you don't want me to. Or, If you prefer I not include it in my posts, that too is okay. Just let me know.
Sandra

I now have a few. Yay! Thank you for taking the time to participate!
ReplyDeleteYour Way: Salmon
ReplyDeleteWhen you first asked your readers to share with you there way of making something yummy I gotta admit; i was kinda sad! lol I racked my brain for something yummy to share with you...and i didn't have anything at the time! It was like i wasn't Consuelo Muñiz's daughter or something!!!! She would be soooo disappointed...lol!
Well, a couple of months have passed since i got married and my domesticness (i make words up) has improved!!!! :D I am beyond thrilled to share with you this easy, yet delicious recipe shared with me by my suegra...I hope you both like seafood and more so enjoy this recipe...it's one of Vic's favorite!!!!
What you'll need:
*Piece of salmon (size varies)
*Garlic salt
*3 juicy lemons (like lemony, use more lemons)
*Diced jalapeños (and juice)
*Onions
*Pepper
*Oil
How to:
*Cover pan (or pans, our salmon is sometimes too long for one pan, so we cut in half and use two pans) with cooking oil....kinda like you butter up a pan for baking....
*Rinse salmon then season it with the garlic salt, both sides....place in pan(s), slice onions and place all over salmon, even on sides....place diced jalapeños all over, pour jalapeño juice all over....squeeze all the lemons over the salmon....sprinkle some pepper as well....
cover pan with foil paper...
*Pre heat oven @ 375 degrees
Once the salmon is prepared, place in oven...our large salmon takes 1 hour and 1/2....we like the outside crispy....time also depends on size of your salmon....
ENJOY....we like to accompany it with rice, grilled asparagus and today, my niece keeks made garlic mashed potatoes!!!! YUMMMM
Bon appetit <3
That sounds so yummy... Abner and I really like salmon and I too like crispiness. Cant wait to make it. As soon as I make it, I will post all about it. Thank you very much primis!
